At 20:36hours the North Branch Volunteers were alerted to 197 Meister Ave for a reported fire alarm. While Deputy 49 was responding County Communications advised that employees on scene were reporting some type of explosion in the building, while this the 1st alarm was transmitted on Box 4903. Upon arrival of the Deputy it was confirmed that there had been an explosion with unknown fire conditions. Engine 498 arrived and its crew made entry with the on-site emergency response team to confirm if there was a fire or hazardous material's leaking. The fire was found to be mostly extinguished from the force of the explosion but a small leak was detected. With this all crews were removed from the building and the on-site response team remade entry and mitigated the problem.
Units on scene for Box 4903 were- Engine 492, 498, 34-109, 32-104, Truck 34-116 and 32-115. All units were clear by the hour mark.
